Cristina Martín Jiménez
Cristina Martín Jiménez was born on October 6th 1989 in Toledo (Spain). She obtained her degree in Chemistry in June 2012, at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM). She had her first contact with Organic Chemistry lab, in her third and fourth years of the degree developing the synthesis of tripodal complex with N-heterocyclic carbenes imidazole derivatives under the supervision of Dr. Juan Tejeda Sojo (professor at the UCLM).
In the last year of her degree, she obtained a fellowship by the program “Becas Santander CRUE-CEPYME Prácticas en Empresa” because of this, she had the opportunity to investigate about “synthesis of hybrid PPV-PAMAM dendrimers and aggregation studies”.
In October first 2012, she joined the group of Prof. Dr. Ángel Díaz Ortiz and Dr. Pilar Prieto Nuñez-Polo, as part of the project “Design and development of a monitoring system of reactions in continuous flow through microwave assisted NMR microcoils.”
She started her PhD in January 2013, with the thesis entitled “New graphene-based Composite materials”, and she is also studying a master in Susteinable Chemistry by the Universitat Jaume I (Castellón de la Plana). The research activity is being conducted under the joint responsibility of two thesis supervisors one in the Università degli Studi Trieste (Prof. Maurizio Prato, Dipartamento di Scienze Farmaceutiche), and a second at the UCLM (Prof. Ester Vázquez Fernández-Pacheco, Departamento de Química Orgánica-IRICA, Facultad de Ciencias y Tecnologías Químicas, UCLM).E-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org Department Address: Microwave and Sustainable Organic Chemistry Division,
