Varian Unity Inova NMR spectrometer 11.7 T (500 MHz proton resonance frequency)

Probes for this NMR machine:

  • Four-nucleus, 5 mm 1H{15N-31P}PFG High Field Indirect detection  probe. This probe is the standard one used in this equipment allowing the detection of 1H, 31P, 13C, 15N nuclides.
  • 5 mm 1H[13C/15N] Triple Resonance Cold probe. This probe is specially suited for diluted samples, low natural abundance isotopes (15N, 13C, 2H) and molecules which aggregates easily at relatively high concentrations, to name but a few.

  • 5 mm 2H[1H19F] G500-5. This probe is used for the detection of deuterium and is particularly useful to determine the isotope ratio 2H/1H in samples to determine wine quality and to perform 2D 1H,19F-HOESY.

Flow NMR

This NMR equipment is mainly used for routine experiments. The inserted probe allows the detection of 1H, 19F, 31P, and 13C NMR experiments.  Adapted for flow and NMR microcoils.

Varian VNMRS400 spectrometer 9.4 T (400 MHz proton resonance frequency)

Probes for this NMR machine:

  • The inserted probe is the ASW 4 nucleus. This probe allows the detection of around 17 nuclides, ranging from around 40 MHz to 400 MHz.
  • 400g HX NANO (40-162 MHz) (NANO-probe). The features of this probe allow the detection of mass-and volume limited samples (the sample volume is around 40 µl). The NANO-probe enables the analysis of non-homogeneous/viscous samples like gels, cells, tissues, polymers and so on. It is possible the detection of 1H, 31P, 13C, 29Si and 15N.

  • Narrow Bore Triple Resonance T3 MAS NMR probe. This probe enables the analysis of samples in the solid physical state. The nuclides which can be observed are 1H, 19F, 13C, 29Si, 15N.

Mass spectrometer MALDI TOF/TOF

This apparatus affords the mass analysis of samples with a molecular weight ranging from 200-300000 Da with an optimum range of 700- 3000 Da.
