During the last year of her degree, she began to work in the department of Inorganic, Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry in the UCLM with an Collaboration Grant, under de supervision of Prof. María Antonia Herrero Chamorro in an experimental project entitled “Synthesis and design of new nanocatalysts”, in paralle with other applications of nanomaterials.

Afterwards, she obtained her M.Sc. in Sustainable Chemistry with Prof. Ester Vázquez Fernández-Pacheco and Prof. María Antonia Herrero Chamorro as supervisors, she worked in the project “Preparation of carbon nanostructures for the design of sensors”.

In 2012, she obtained a fellowship to develop her PhD under the joint supervision of Prof. Maruzio Prato from the Università degli Studi di Trieste (Dipartimento de scienze chimiche e farmaceutice) and Dr. Ester Vázquez Fernández-Pacheco (Departamento de Química Orgánica, Inorgánica y Bioquímica). Currently, she is carrying out her research in the topic “Design of multifunctional systems based on carbon nanomaterials” in both Institutions.
