Dr. Andrés Moreno Moreno

Andrés Moreno was born in 1962 in Ciudad Real (Spain). He obtained his degree in organic chemistry (1985) from the University Complutense of Madrid and his PhD (1990) from the University of Castilla-La Mancha. He spent a postdoctoral stay in the Dyson Perrins Laboratory, University of Oxford, UK (1991–1992) investigating NMR studies of peptides in solution. He became Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry in 1995, and his current research interests include NMR studies in solution and the development of environmental synthetic methodologies for organic synthesis. Regarding the NMR studies, he has recently started a new research line in the Microwave and Sustainable Organic Chemistry group which is  focused on the development of new NMR methodologies for the identification and quantification of major and minor components present in typical goods from the region, D.O La Mancha /Manchego such as cheese, olive oil and wine.
